The Mauritian Wildlife Foundation (MWF) is the largest non-governmental organisation (NGO) in Mauritius to be exclusively concerned with the conservation and preservation of the nation’s endangered plant and animal species.
Project Summary
The project will intensively train some interns per year in specialist activities conducted by the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation on its Fauna, Flora, Ecotourism and Education activities, with Ile aux Aigrettes as the main training ground. The outcomes include development of highly skilled young conservationists, increase awareness, develop ecotourism, increase employability in the region, reduce poverty through increased salary prospects for trainees.
