Donations to this fund are eligible for a donation tax deduction under Japanese tax law by submitting the donation receipt, which will be sent by the trustee to the registered address at a later date, when filing your tax return. To qualify for the current year's donation tax credit, the date of receipt (date of payment) must be within the current year. In case of donation by credit card, the date of receipt will be the day when the payment is completed. Depending on the timing of the payment, it may not be completed by the end of the year and the donation will be processed in the following year. It is recommended to complete the procedure well in advance at the end of the year.
